Prospect Heights Shul Sefarim Donation Form
Write this song [the Torah] for yourselves…. (Devarim 31:19)
From this passage, it is derived that one should either write or buy a sefer Torah, and the Rosh (13th century) adjusts this interpretation by saying that the mitzvah nowadays includes purchasing holy books from which we can pray, learn, and grow spiritually.
As the Prospect Heights Community continues to grow and thrive, we find that we are in need of more Siddurim and Chumashim in addition to new Machzorim for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur.
Sponsoring a new Siddur/Machzor is a meaningful way to honor the memory of a loved one. It is also a beautiful way to support our shul community a fabulous opportunity to be involved in the privilege of building a vibrant Orthodox community in Brooklyn.
Each sponsorship includes a prominently placed dedication label.
