Dr. David Zvi Kalman will speak on the topics of The Emergent Torah of Psychoactives, Psychedelics, and Addiction and The Frontiers of AI in Jewish Thought. Dr. Kalman, a research fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute’s Kogod Research Center, brings deep insight into these cutting-edge conversations. 

His first lecture will take place after our community Shabbat dinner, with a second session following Kiddush luncheon on Shabbat. To cover the sponsorship of the Kiddush luncheon, we kindly ask for donations below. The deadline for dinner sign-up is Wednesday, February 26th at 12:00pm!

Dr. David Zvi works on issues of technology, religion, and art. He holds a position as Senior Advisor for Sinai and Synapses at the Hartman Institure and is the host of the Belief in the Future podcast. He is the owner of Print-O-Craft Press, an independent publishing house that has released books including Jessica Deutsch’s The Illustrated Pirkei Avot and Noam Sienna’s A Rainbow Thread: An Anthology of Queer Jewish Texts from the First Century to 1969. He has been widely published in both academic and popular publications. David Zvi holds a PhD from the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from the University of Toronto.
